I tried a new oil technique for this piece, and it turned out to be one of my favorites. I wanted to create something atmospheric and a little haunting, with soft blends, heavy shadows, and that slow-building depth oil paint is so good at.
Each layer was pushed and pulled until the scene felt alive... quiet, tense, and full of movement.
